I paint because pictures are necessary.

A picture tells about my experience, about what is on my mind - or something never seen because it does not yet exist.

Pictures are lines, shapes, colours, light and shadows connecting into a whole; a whole I could not do without; a whole giving peace or desire - or courage! And much more...

The most important though is the moment when a picture responds or when it resists further interference.

Pictures can be observed, admired, loved and hated. They can create fear or disregard, be purchased, sold, inherited or thrown away.

But you cannot get around the impact of pictures.
